These air fryer portobello mushrooms are perfectly cooked in 15 minutes! These mushrooms are a great side dish or snack with a quick and simple marinade! Use them as a portobello burger patty, as a base for a mushroom pizza or slice and serve in tacos!
4-6large Portobello mushrooms (depending on how many you can fit into your air fryer)cleaned with a damp paper towel
1Tbsp.Olive oil
½tsp.Sea salt
½tsp.Black pepper
2clovesGarlicminced
1tsp.Balsamic vinegar
¼tsp.Dried oregano
¼tsp.Dried thyme
Instructions
Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel or cloth, wiping off any dirt. Don't rinse the mushrooms under running water or in a bowl of water as they absorb water fast! Once the mushrooms are clean, cut out the thick stem.
4-6 large Portobello mushrooms (depending on how many you can fit into your air fryer)
Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a small bowl.
1 Tbsp. Olive oil, ½ tsp. Sea salt, ½ tsp. Black pepper, 2 cloves Garlic, 1 tsp. Balsamic vinegar, ¼ tsp. Dried oregano, ¼ tsp. Dried thyme
Brush the mushrooms on both sides with the marinade, leaving some marinade over at the end.
Place the mushrooms in the air fryer, tops down and gill side up. Pour the remaining marinade over the mushrooms. Air fry for 5 minutes at 400 °F (200 °C), then flip the mushrooms and air fry for another 4 - 7 minutes.
Allow mushrooms to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.

StorageStore any leftover mushrooms in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can eat them cold, straight from the refrigerator, or warm them up a bit in the microwave.These mushrooms don't stand up well to freezing at all.
